TENET welcomes the announcement by Patricia de Lille that CHEC and the City of Cape Town have agreed to make eduroam available on the City's network and in the City's libraries. We look forward to helping make this a reality.
This announcement promises a substantial increase in the number of locations in Cape Town where students can gain access to eduroam. While all eduroam users will benefit, it is particularly important for students from Western Cape institutions, who will now have access closer to home. This is an important step in bridging the digital divide.
